Cocktail Party Favors

Even though we still don't have countertops, complete tile and various other on-going projects like wood putty all over our kitchen moldings, I wanted to have a holiday party.  I love having people over and entertaining.  So I will show pictures of how I decorated later on but for now, I wanted to show you all the cute idea of giving infused vodka away as party favors.  Yum!

I decided to make pineapple and cranberry infused vodka.  Here is what I did.  Sorry about the picture quality.

Finished product - bad picture

What you Need:
  • 12 Small Mason or Ball jars (I used 8 oz so I had room for fruit)
  • 1.75L Vodka - don't use super cheap - Stoli is fine
  • 1 Pineapple
  • 1 bag Cranberries
    • Sugar
  • Jar decorations
    • Ribbon
    • Fabric

Pineapple Infused Vodka Recipe:
  • Cut pinepple into small chunks in similar sizes
  • Stack the pineapple like bricks around the edge of the jar
  • Pour the vodka into jar to cover pineapple
  • Seal and cover the jar
  • Put in dark for 10 days
  • On Day 10, strain vodka and put back in jar (I put these instructions on jar, see below)
  • Store vodka in fridge
  • To serve:
    • Fill shaker with ice, add vodka, shake and serve...straight!  Yummy!!

Cranberry Infused Vodka:
  • 1 1/2 C cranberries
  • 1/4 C sugar
  • 2 tbsp. water
  • 3 C vodka (or whatever amount to fill the jars)
  • *I probably could have used a few more cranberries but I haven't tasted it yet*
  • Drink within one month

Vodka was kept in dark cupboard for a week

For decorations, I went to the fabric store and bought some cute fabric and cut into squares and put on lid.

I used this cute plaid fabric, tags and ofray ribbon.
I used Word to make some cute little labels with instructions and tied it on.

I didn't have a hole punch so I used a cooking pick I had from my Thanksgiving turkey!!

Bottoms Up!!
